Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Grixis competitive combo list centered on the premier win condition of Thassa's Oracle combined with Demonic Consultation. Backed by dense fast mana (Mana Vault, Sol Ring, Chrome Mox, Dark Ritual) and universal tutors (Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, Beseech the Mirror), the deck consistently threatens a Turn 3 win. When not executing the fast combo, it pivots into massive card advantage through Ad Nauseam, Necropotence, Rhystic Study, and The One Ring. Commander Fire Lord Azula provides explosive combat mana and copies spells cast while attacking, enabling high-value spell loops and combat velocity. A robust suite of free and efficient countermagic (Force of Will, Fierce Guardianship, Mental Misstep) and zero-cost removal spells (Deadly Rollick, Snuff Out) protects combo turns and disrupts opponents with minimal mana investment.
