Deck overview

This competitive Commander deck uses Vivi Ornitier as a high-velocity mana engine, card draw outlet, and win condition in the command zone. By enchanting Vivi with Curiosity or Ophidian Eye, or pairing it with Tandem Lookout, every noncreature spell cast deals 1 damage to each opponent and draws three cards. With a critical mass of 0- and 1-mana artifacts, rituals, and free spells, the deck rapidly chains 40 spells in a single turn to eliminate all three opponents through noncombat damage. Dense fast mana pieces such as Chrome Mox, Mox Diamond, Mox Opal, and Lotus Petal allow the deck to assemble its engine on Turn 2 or 3. If the primary commander line is disrupted, the list seamlessly pivots into Underworld Breach loops with Brain Freeze and Lion's Eye Diamond or Hullbreaker Horror bounce combos. Extensive free countermagic and proactive silence effects like Defense Grid, Hexing Squelcher, and Samut, Tyrant of Naktamun safeguard combo attempts.
