Smaug’s Wicked Treasure by cqnotthe1

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Smaug the Impenetrable commands a high-velocity Rakdos aristocrats and combo deck built to exploit noncombat self-damage. Because Smaug is indestructible and generates Treasure tokens whenever he takes noncombat damage, spells like Pestilence, Pyrohemia, Cut Propulsion, and Blasphemous Act convert damage into explosive mana reserves. The deck leverages this rapid treasure generation into game-ending burn through artifact and sacrifice payoffs such as Mayhem Devil, Reckless Fireweaver, Mirkwood Bats, and Marionette Master. Secondary win conditions include massive damage redirection with Pain for All, overwhelming attacks from Dawnsire, Sunstar Dreadnought, or casting lethal kicked Comet Storms fueled by dozens of accumulated Treasures.
