Deck overview

This deck is a Boros Big Mana Spellslinger build commanded by Lorehold, the Historian. Lorehold provides two critical mechanical advantages: a rummage trigger at the beginning of each opponent's upkeep and a static ability giving every instant and sorcery card in hand miracle {2}. By drawing on opponents' upkeeps, any instant or sorcery drawn can be cast immediately for two mana, bypassing normal timing restrictions. The 99 is loaded with game-ending high-mana sorceries such as Storm Herd, Rise of the Eldrazi, Call Forth the Tempest, and Insurrection, as well as top-heavy Dragon threats. Acceleration from low-cost artifacts and untappers like Bender's Waterskin and Victory Chimes guarantees available mana during opponents' turns. Hand-to-library enablers like Penance, Scroll Rack, and Library of Leng allow expensive spells drawn into hand to be placed back on top of the library and miracled at will.
