Elves and Fae by threnaria

Format: Commander

Commander: Maralen, Fae Ascendant

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Maralen, Fae Ascendant leads an Elf/Faerie tribal deck whose core engine is exiling the top two cards of an opponent whenever an Elf or Faerie enters, then free-casting a spell with mana value equal to the number of Elves and Faeries on the battlefield. The deck builds a wide board of tokens and tribal lords, then wins either by pumping Maralen for 21 commander damage or by draining opponents with Obyra, Dreaming Duelist as mass Faerie tokens enter from Oona, Queen of the Fae or Stolen by the Fae. Secondary lines use Deathbloom Ritualist's graveyard-scaled mana and reanimation effects. Oko, Lorwyn Liege serves as a flexible support card for extra value and type-changing synergies.
