Deck overview

Grothama, All-Devouring leads a mono-green creature deck that converts large bodies and fight damage into cards. The deck accelerates with lands, cheap enchantment ramp, mana creatures, and cost reduction, then deploys creatures such as Avenger of Zendikar, Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant, Kogla, the Titan Ape, and Vaultborn Tyrant. Garruk's Uprising, The Great Henge, Selvala, Heart of the Wilds, and Greater Good provide the card flow needed to keep developing. The main supported kill is a wide attack enhanced by Triumph of the Hordes. In a favorable ordinary draw, the deck reaches a developed board around turn 7 and attacks for lethal infect on turn 8. Grothama, All-Devouring improves burst draw but is not required for the alternate combat route. The main limitations are expensive spells, singleton access, limited stack interaction, and vulnerability to sweepers before the final combat.
