Deck overview

Mirri, Weatherlight Duelist commands a focused Selesnya Cat typal deck that blends aggressive token swarming with asymmetric combat manipulation. The strategy uses Mirri's static abilities to break combat parity: while attacking, defending players can only assign a single blocking creature, allowing wide boards to bypass defenders effortlessly; while tapped, opponents are restricted to attacking with a single creature, neutralizing crackback damage. The deck develops low-cost feline threats and token generators such as Arahbo, the First Fang, Felidar Retreat, and Rabble Rousing, then leverages mass pump effects like Jazal Goldmane and Overrun to close out games across multiple combat steps. Interaction is supported by efficient removal like Swords to Plowshares and board-control engines like Glare of Subdual. The deck exhibits high typal synergy and solid board resilience, but operates entirely within fair combat parameters and relies on natural draws to access its top-end finishers.
