Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Reanimator Control strategy led by Emet-Selch, Unsundered, focusing on rapid self-mill, card filtering, and explosive graveyard recursion. During the early turns, the deck deploys efficient mana rocks, looters, and mill enablers like Stitcher's Supplier, Ripples of Undeath, and Buried Alive to rapidly populate the graveyard. Once fourteen or more cards are accumulated, Emet-Selch transforms into Hades, Sorcerer of Eld, turning the graveyard into a second hand via its powerful Echo of the Lost ability. The deck leverages this advantage by reanimating massive, game-warping threats such as Archon of Cruelty, Valgavoth, Terror Eater, and Sheoldred, Whispering One, while locking down opposing creatures with Archfiend of Depravity and Archfiend of Ifnir. Victory is achieved through flying combat damage backed by Wonder, asymmetric life drain via Syr Konrad, the Grim, or alternate win conditions like Jace, Wielder of Mysteries and Laboratory Maniac.
