Deck overview

This deck is a Boros midrange strategy commanded by Rem Karolus, Stalwart Slayer. The game plan revolves around leveraging Rem Karolus's asymmetric damage replacement effect: preventing all spell damage dealt to your other permanents while boosting damage dealt to opponents and their creatures by +1. This allows damage sweepers like Blasphemous Act and Chain Reaction to function as one-sided board wipes that preserve your own creature army. The deck supports this game plan with an aggressive suite of evasive creatures, Auras such as Angelic Destiny and All That Glitters, and powerful combat finishers like Akroma's Will. While the deck possesses a large volume of instant-speed burn and artifact removal, it suffers from low card velocity and lacks tutors, making it heavily reliant on top-decked resources to sustain its pressure across multi-turn combat rotations.
