Deck overview

This deck is an exhibition 4-color midrange shell built around the Rule 0 partner pairing of Hylda of the Icy Crown and Baba Lysaga, Night Witch. Its strategy balances incremental board control with sacrificial resource generation. In the opening turns, the deck fixes its mana and establishes multi-type permanents, including artifact lands and cheap creatures. On Turn 4, it brings Baba Lysaga, Night Witch online to sacrifice multi-type permanents, drawing three cards and draining opponents for three life each cycle. This steady card flow fuels secondary token engines like Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder, Farmer Cotton, and Hylda of the Icy Crown. By Turn 6, the deck pivots from value generation to a critical must-answer board state by deploying Pathbreaker Ibex or locking opposing options with Opposition. Because it lacks infinite combos and relies on fair combat damage, it closes games through sequential attacks across three opponent response cycles, eliminating players by Turn 9.
