Deck overview

This deck is a Bant political control strategy commanded by Kros, Defense Contractor. The core engine leverages counter distribution and proliferation to weaponize opponents' creatures against one another. By placing shield counters, +1/+1 counters, or specialty counters on opposing threats, Kros continuously taps them down to prevent blocking and forces them to attack other players. High-synergy draw engines like Generous Patron and Verity Circle convert this forced combat into massive card advantage, while defensive stalwarts like Nils, Discipline Enforcer and Propaganda ensure attacks cannot be redirected back at the pilot. The deck maintains control using efficient removal and counterspells, allowing opponents to whittle down each other's life totals before closing the game with overwhelming evasive threats, mass creature theft via Reins of Power, or an enormous Sin, Unending Cataclysm.
