Danny DeVito by Arossi

Format: Commander

Commander: Kelsien, the Plague

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Kelsien, the Plague is a Mardu creature-control and voltron hybrid. The primary plan is to equip Kelsien with deathtouch, use his tap ability to kill creatures, and bank experience counters that turn him into an ever-growing attacker. Exalted creatures such as Aven Squire and Sublime Archangel let him one-shot opponents by attacking alone. Secondary paths include a pinger package that clears boards, token-generating cards that feed both Kelsien's experience and Halo Fountain's alternate win, and Vorpal Sword's lose-the-game trigger on combat damage. The deck does not use a double-faced commander; Falthis and Zagras are support pieces rather than hidden commanders.
