a Lady in Black Braids

Format: Commander

Commander: Braids, Arisen Nightmare

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Braids, Arisen Nightmare helms a mono-black aristocrats strategy that blends aggressive resource denial with explosive combo finishes. Braids turns expendable permanents like Bitterblossom tokens, Gravecrawler, or cheap artifacts into continuous card draw and incremental life loss for opponents. The primary win condition is an infinite sacrifice loop combining Gravecrawler, Warren Soultrader, and a drain effect like Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, or Marionette Apprentice to drain the table. Secondary lines leverage massive devotion burst damage through Gray Merchant of Asphodel, damage doubling via Bloodletter of Aclazotz, or absolute creature suppression with Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos locking out combat.
