Deck overview

This deck is a Mardu aggro-reanimation deck commander-helmed by Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad. The primary game plan fills the graveyard with high-value Assassin cards through early looting spells like Cathartic Reunion, Thrill of Possibility, and Lively Dirge. Once Altaïr enters combat, he exiles these Assassins with memory counters to generate tapped, attacking token copies of each exiled card every turn. The deck compounds combat pressure using anthem and keyword lords such as Arno Dorian, Bayek of Siwa, and Warleader's Call, while taking extra combat phases with Overpowering Attack and Aurelia, the Warleader to close out the table. Crucially, memory counters remain on cards in exile even if Altaïr is removed, making the token-generation engine resilient against spot removal once established.
