Deck overview

This Dimir tempo deck pairs Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator with Francisco, Fowl Marauder to establish early battlefield control and snowball resource advantages. The primary game plan deploys low-cost, evasive Pirates on the first few turns to trigger Malcolm for Treasure generation and Francisco for consistent explore triggers. Drawing heavily off combat damage engines like Curiosity, Bident of Thassa, and Reconnaissance Mission, the deck maintains a full grip while disrupting opponents with efficient countermagic and spot removal. It converts mana and card advantage into victory through wide evasive combat damage bolstered by anthem effects like Haunted One and Skeleton Crew, augmented by Forerunner of the Coalition life drain.
