Deck overview

Gandalf, Goblins' Bane // Flameshape leads a mono-red spellslinger burn deck designed to eliminate all three opponents simultaneously through noncombat damage. The strategy deploys Gandalf alongside redundant low-cost pingers such as Firebrand Archer, Coruscation Mage, Guttersnipe, and Fiery Inscription. Once these damage multipliers are active, the deck chains cheap cantrips, burn spells, and burst rituals like Mana Geyser to trigger repeated waves of table-wide damage. Card flow is sustained using rummaging spells, impulse exile effects, and Gandalf's built-in Flameshape Adventure. While the deck generates explosive turns with Storm-Kiln Artist and Virtue of Courage, it relies on creature permanents that remain vulnerable to sweepers and targeted removal. The interaction suite contains efficient creature and artifact answers, but struggles against resolved enchantments. Overall, the deck operates as an aggressive burn engine that closes games rapidly once critical mass is reached.
