Deck overview

This deck is an Esper spellslinger and midrange strategy led by Y'shtola, Night's Blessed. It focuses on chaining noncreature spells with mana value 3 or greater to drain each opponent for 2 life, gain life, and draw cards on end steps when life loss thresholds are met. Supported by the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, the list converts spell casts into wide token boards using Hermes, Overseer of Elpis and Summon: Good King Mog XII, while generating card advantage through Archmage Emeritus and Alphinaud Leveilleur. Defensively, the deck protects its life total with Authority of the Consuls and Propaganda, while running high-quality interaction including Void Rend, Swords to Plowshares, and Snuff Out. It wins through cumulative drain triggers, evasive token combat, and closing spells like Exsanguinate.
