Aphelia for UAViking by db8r_boi

Format: Commander

Commander: Aphelia, Viper Whisperer

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Golgari Snake tribal midrange deck helmed by Aphelia, Viper Whisperer. The plan floods the board with deathtouch Snakes (tokens from Aphelia's attack trigger, cheap bodies, and changelings), backs them with lords and anthems, then closes through combat damage amplified by Aphelia's activated half-life drain, poison from Fynn, the Fangbearer, or a decisive Triumph of the Hordes. Secondary finishers include life-loss multipliers (Bloodletter of Aclazotz, Wound Reflection) that turn a single connecting Snake into a knockout. The commander is an efficient 2-mana engine that both generates blockers/attackers and supplies the primary non-combat kill condition, while the 99 supplies enough tribal beatdown and infect that the deck still functions if she is answered. Expect a grindy, rattlesnake board that punishes blockers and snowballs once the half-life or poison engine is online.
