Deck overview

This Golgari Aristocrats deck leverages Slimefoot, the Stowaway to convert disposable Saproling tokens into steady life drain and board control. The primary strategy establishes mana acceleration and token engines like Cryptolith Rite, Enduring Vitality, or Tendershoot Dryad, then deploys sacrifice outlets such as Viscera Seer and Warren Soultrader. As tokens die, Slimefoot, the Stowaway alongside payoffs like Blood Artist, Marionette Apprentice, and Nadier's Nightblade drain opponents while keeping your life total high. Heavy attrition pieces like Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos systematically clear opposing creatures whenever your tokens perish. While the deck lacks fast cEDH mana and stack-based countermagic, its dense redundancy of drain effects and potent draw engines like Skullclamp and Deathreap Ritual provide reliable mid-game pressure. The game closes around Turn 8 through cumulative drain triggers, an unmanageable token swarm, or a lethal Exsanguinate.
