Format: Commander

Commander: Absolute Virtue

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Azorius control/tax deck is helmed by Absolute Virtue, a 7-mana uncounterable flying beater with protection from each opponent - making it nearly impossible to remove via targeted spells or abilities. The deck layers a dense tax package (Grand Arbiter Augustin IV, Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, Windborn Muse, Fatespinner) beneath a deep counterspell suite and an Isochron Scepter lock package that imprints Counterspell, Silence, or Cyclonic Rift for a repeatable one-sided wipe. The primary win condition is commander damage: equipping Absolute Virtue with Genji Glove (double strike + extra combat) and Whispersilk Cloak (unblockable) deals 32 commander damage per turn, killing one opponent per turn. Nexus of Fate provides extra turns as a backup, while Impostor Syndrome generates copy tokens off combat damage. The deck plays a patient, controlling game - taxing mana, countering key spells, then deploying its near-unremovable commander to close out.
