mono black force burn by user7120240

Format: Commander

Commander: Ob Nixilis, Unshackled

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-black devotion/drain deck commanded by Ob Nixilis, Unshackled. The primary plan is to assemble a massive mana engine-using Cabal Coffers, Crypt Ghast, Nirkana Revenant, and ritual spells-then finish the table with Exsanguinate, Gray Merchant of Asphodel, or the activated ability of Bolas's Citadel. The commander punishes opponents who search their libraries, so the deck's own dense tutor suite becomes a weapon, and symmetrical search effects like Maralen of the Mornsong and Mornsong Aria turn Ob Nixilis into a one-sided killer. The deck also runs a solid recursion package and a handful of one-sided board wipes (Massacre Wurm, Massacre Girl, Known Killer) to control the battlefield. It is a straightforward, high-synergy strategy that wins through life-drain inevitability rather than infinite combos.
