Commander: Toph, the First Metalbender

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Toph, First Metalbender leads a land-animation aggro deck that uses every artifact as a second land, supercharging landfall and +1/+1 counter synergies. The primary route is to turn Darksteel Citadel and other artifacts into huge haste attackers via earthbend, pump them with Bristly Bill and Doubling Season, then finish with double strike and Bumi's extra combat. Scute Swarm, Omnath, and Toph, Earthbending Master supply alternate pressure, while the transformed Avatar Kyoshi acts as a hidden commander that adds trample, hexproof, and massive mana. The deck has solid draw and protection, but its lack of counterspells and reliance on a single combat step leave it vulnerable to disruption.
