Blanka Bomb by WoodsMTG

Format: Commander

Commander: The Howling Abomination

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Gruul spellslinger deck uses The Howling Abomination as a ping engine. Every spell that targets it gives +2/+2 and deals 2 damage to each opponent, which stacks with pingers like Guttersnipe, Firebrand Archer, Kessig Flamebreather, and Fiery Inscription that trigger on each instant or sorcery. Cheap targeting cantrips such as Rile, Expedite, and Crimson Wisps chain together, draw cards, and quickly give the 5/5 haste commander trample after three spells. Combat with Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar or direct damage via Chandra's Ignition and Soul's Fire closes games. Zada, Hedron Grinder is the hidden commander, copying single-target spells across your board with Frontline Heroism and Season of Growth.
