Kess Grixis Spellmürber by dawsn

Format: Commander

Commander: Kess, Dissident Mage

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Grixis spellslinger deck leverages Kess, Dissident Mage to command an aggressive storm and burn strategy. The primary game plan revolves around casting a high volume of low-mana instants and sorceries to trigger incremental burn sources like Fiery Inscription, Kuja, and Black Waltz No. 3, while generating token armies with Lord of the Nazgul and Talrand. Kess acts as a potent value engine from the command zone, allowing you to recast key rituals, cantrips, and removal spells directly from the graveyard. The deck finishes games by multiplying spell triggers with Veyran and Thousand-Year Storm or overloading Mizzix's Mastery to burn the entire table simultaneously.
