Y'shtola, Night's Blessed is an Esper 'life-loss matters' control deck. The primary plan is to deploy Y'shtola beside a mix of tax/drain enchantments and noncreature-spell triggers; every three-plus-mana noncreature spell shocks opponents and, once an opponent has lost 4+ life in a turn, Y'shtola draws a card. The main kill is a life-drain loop: any gain-to-loss piece (Sanguine Bond, Vito, Enduring Tenacity) plus any loss-to-gain piece (Bloodthirsty Conqueror, Exquisite Blood), started by Y'shtola's ping, Papalymo, or a drain spell. Secondary paths are Exsanguinate, wizard-token pings, and Jin-Gitaxias // The Great Synthesis as an alternate engine/finisher. No hidden commander: the deck is built around Y'shtola.
