slow death by user8810743

Format: Commander

Commander: Dina, Soul Steeper

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Golgari lifegain-drain deck helmed by Dina, Soul Steeper, built around a simple engine: gain life from a dense package of incidental triggers (Essence Warden, Prosperous Innkeeper, Grazing Gladehart, Pristine Talisman, Radiant Fountain) and convert every point of life gained into opponent life loss through Dina, Marauding Blight-Priest, and Sanguine Bond. The primary win condition is the Exquisite Blood infinite drain loop, which pairs with Sanguine Bond, Dina herself, or Marauding Blight-Priest to drain the table in one shot. Secondary wins come from attrition via Blood Artist / Zulaport Cutthroat death triggers and combat beats from Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Old Gnawbone, and Venomcrawler. A minor exile-and-reanimate subtheme runs through The Darkness Crystal, Metamorphosis Fanatic, and Head of the Hunt.
