Deck overview

This mono-green deck is commanded by Beorn the Fierce, blending dedicated Bear tribal synergies with classic green stompy power. The early turns prioritize deploying low-cost mana dorks like Birds of Paradise and efficient Bears such as Wilson, Refined Grizzly, Mother Bear, and Ayula, Queen Among Bears. Casting Beorn on Turn 4 completes the primary engine: at combat, Beorn distributes trample counters, turns creatures into Bears, buffs the tribe by +2/+2, and draws two fresh cards each turn cycle once three Bears are assembled. The refueled hand enables a devastating Turn 5 onset using explosive overruns like Overwhelming Stampede, Craterhoof Behemoth, or Unnatural Growth. While vulnerable to mass exile wipes, the deck leverages high creature redundancy, explosive mana ramp like Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, and resilient recovery engines like The Great Henge to quickly rebuild and crush opponents under overwhelming trampling power.
