Deck overview

This Grixis deck is built around Fire Lord Azula, turning combat steps into explosive storm turns. When Azula attacks, she generates two red mana and copies every spell cast while attacking. The deck leverages this ability to double rituals, draw spells, and burn triggers, converting low-cost instants into massive mana and card advantages. Supported by pingers like Vivi Ornitier, Coruscation Mage, and Firebrand Archer, the deck drains the entire table in a single flurry of spells. In addition to combat storm lines, the list features the compact two-card infinite combo of Dualcaster Mage and Twinflame, which can close games out of nowhere for five mana. The strategy is reinforced by an efficient suite of free and low-cost interaction, including Deadly Rollick, Flusterstorm, and Bolt Bend, alongside protection equipment like Lightning Greaves and Brotherhood Regalia. While reliant on combat steps and vulnerable to creature removal, its high velocity and redundancy ensure swift, lethal finishes.
