Deck overview

This deck is a Jund -1/-1 counter aristocrats engine led by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. It accelerates during the early turns with efficient ramp, then deploys Auntie Ool alongside synergistic counter generators like Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, Nest of Scarabs, and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician. Distributing -1/-1 counters fuels rapid card draw when targeting your own creatures, while steadily draining opponents whenever their creatures receive counters. In the mid-game, mass-counter effects like Soul Snuffers, Carnifex Demon, and Massacre Wurm sweep opposing boards while generating massive armies of deathtouch Snakes and Insects. Kulrath Knight completely shuts down opposing combat by paralyzing any creature with a counter, allowing your wide token army and direct drain triggers from Grave Venerations and Soul Immolation to close the game on turn 7. While vulnerable to mass exile and non-creature combos, the deck generates overwhelming board control and resource velocity against creature-centric tables.
