Nicol Bolas friends evil by user8904229

Format: Commander

Commander: Nicol Bolas, the Ravager // Nicol Bolas, the Arisen

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

A Grixis superfriends build centered on the Ravager/Arisen flip and a proliferate engine. The front face strips a card from each opponent early, then flips into a planeswalker that draws, removes, and reanimates. The real finishers are other planeswalkers: Ichormoon Gauntlet and The Chain Veil let Teferi, Master of Time gain loyalty at near-instant speed until an ultimate ends the game. Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh and Chandra provide alternate damage and wipe options. Breach the Multiverse and Reanimate add a graveyard angle. There is no true hidden commander; the commander is a support walker and the planeswalker package is the core. The deck is slower but powerful, relying on repeated walker activations rather than a single combo.
