Deck overview

Frodo, Adventurous Hobbit and Sam, Loyal Attendant form a token/lifegain Food engine in Abzan. The primary plan is to make extra Foods every combat and turn life-gain triggers into cards and damage; secondary lines include a wide Halfling/Soldier beatdown and a hidden Ring win through Frodo, Sauron's Bane. Sam is the mana/engine half; Frodo is the card-advantage/tempt driver. Pippin and Merry in the 99 offer a second mini-commander engine that can overrun. Without an infinite combo, the deck wins by grinding out drains from Sanguine Bond, Mirkwood Bats, and Nadier's Nightblade, or by an overrun from Pippin or Motivated Pony.
