Deck overview

This Orzhov Aristocrats deck leverages Teysa Karlov to amplify death triggers into overwhelming card advantage, asymmetric board control, and sudden lethal drain. The strategy deploys cheap recursive creatures and token generators, then feeds them into free sacrifice outlets like Phyrexian Altar, Ashnod's Altar, and Warren Soultrader. Card draw engines such as Skullclamp, Grim Haruspex, and Dark Prophecy quickly dig through the library, finding key pieces while keeping your hand full. Meanwhile, asymmetric edict effects like Dictate of Erebos systematically strip opposing boards of creatures. The deck reliably closes games on Turn 5 by executing infinite drain loops with Gravecrawler and Blood Artist or triggering the Exquisite Blood and Marauding Blight-Priest combination. Because the primary combo engines operate independently of the commander, the deck maintains high resilience against targeted removal and board wipes.
