Deck overview

This deck is an explosive Izzet aggro-tempo deck built around Muddle, the Ever-Changing. The core strategy leverages Muddle's unique ability to transform into a nonlegendary creature with myriad whenever an instant or sorcery is cast. By pairing cheap one-mana cantrips and haste enablers with high-impact creatures like Port Razer, Bloodthirster, Overlord of the Boilerbilges, and Mulldrifter, the deck generates overwhelming board states in a single combat step. Myriad creates attacking copies targeting each opponent simultaneously, triggering multiple enters-the-battlefield abilities, card-draw engines, and additional combat phases that threaten to eliminate the table in rapid succession. Early turns focus on establishing mana rocks and sculpting the hand with efficient filtering spells. Once Muddle and a key payoff are deployed, a single cantrip triggers a massive offensive swing. While the deck relies on combat connections and faces standard vulnerability to creature removal, its immense card velocity and redundant threats allow it to rebuild rapidly and close games by Turn 6.
