Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Rakdos Stompy deck commanded by Rakdos, Lord of Riots. The strategy leverages low-cost group pingers and burn spells like Creeping Bloodsucker, Thermo-Alchemist, and Boltwave to bypass the commander's casting restriction on Turn 4. Once Rakdos connects in combat on Turn 5, his static ability generates massive generic mana discounts, allowing the deck to flood the board with devastating colorless and artifact behemoths like Blightsteel Colossus, It That Betrays, and Artisan of Kozilek for minimal mana. Card advantage engines such as Florian, Voldaren Scion and Knollspine Dragon ensure the deck continually refills its hand with more discounted threats. Supported by alternate mana engines like Neheb, the Eternal and protection cards like Lightning Greaves and Imp's Mischief, the deck consistently closes out games across Turns 6 and 7 through overwhelming combat damage, Annihilator triggers, and infect.
