Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive four-color Voltron spellslinger strategy led by Human Torch. The game plan revolves around casting low-cost noncreature spells—such as Auras, Equipment, and cantrips—to trigger beginning-of-combat abilities across your Hero creatures. When Human Torch attacks after a noncreature spell is cast that turn, he gains flying, double strike, and haste. By paying {R}{G}{W}{U} on attack, all combat damage dealt to a single defending player splashes equally to every other opponent. Power amplifiers like Mjölnir, Hammer of Thor, Blackblade Reforged, and Super State turn single-target swings into catastrophic table-wide damage. Supporting pieces like Mister Fantastic, Whirlwind of Thought, and Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar keep your hand full and protect your turn from opposing disruption. If Torch is removed, secondary threats like The Thing and Narset, Enlightened Exile maintain substantial pressure, while defensive tools like Heroic Intervention and Clever Concealment safeguard your board state.
