Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Kaalia of the Vast leads a Mardu cheat-and-combat deck that attacks with Angels, Demons, and Dragons. The primary plan is to cast Kaalia, attack, and put a high-impact creature into play tapped and attacking, then close the game through extra-combat loops such as Hellkite Charger plus Sword of Feast and Famine, or a one-shot Master of Cruelties. Backup cheat and recursion come from Sneak Attack, Reanimate, Karmic Guide, and Bruna, the Fading Light. A strong protection and tutor package lets the deck survive disruption, but the kill is still combat-oriented and usually needs the Sword/Charger engine to finish a full table.
