Deck overview

This deck is a Bant midrange strategy led by Tidus, Yuna's Guardian, focusing on +1/+1 counters, keyword distribution, and proliferate engines. Early turns establish mana ramp and deploy low-cost creatures that enter with or generate counters, such as Generous Pup and Shelinda, Yevon Acolyte. Once Tidus enters on turn 4, combat connections trigger Cheer to draw cards and proliferate across the entire board. Mid-game turns compound this advantage through engines like Danny Pink, Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus, and Inexorable Tide. The deck protects its board using shield counters, Inspiring Call, and Resourceful Defense to preserve counter investments against removal. Critical onset arrives around turn 6, where scaled creatures gain trample or unblockable status through Sphere Grid, Duskshell Crawler, or Rikku, Resourceful Guardian, or opponents lose their boards to an asymmetric Damning Verdict. The deck finishes opponents over two combat rotations, closing the game around turn 8.
