Coward by SrumeNecro

Format: Commander

Commander: Gornog, the Red Reaper

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Gornog, the Red Reaper is a mono-red Warrior beatdown commander that turns opposing blockers into Cowards and then rewards every attacking Warrior with +X/+0. The primary plan is wide, hasty combat: deploy two- and three-drop Warriors, make Gornog the pressure valve, and multiply damage with Shared Animosity, Lovisa Coldeyes, and Berserkers' Onslaught. Secondary paths involve token makers (Inquisitorial Rosette, Warchief Giant, Flamerush Rider) and extra-combat spells such as Combat Celebrant, Grim Reaper's Sprint, and Moraug, which double Gornog's trigger and finish a player in one turn. Gornog is both evasion and pump; without him, Kargan Intimidator and Boldwyr provide partial redundancy. No double-faced or hidden commander exists in the deck.
