How to train your dragon by DracoKn27

Format: Commander

Commander: The Ur-Dragon

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a five-color Dragon tribal build helmed by The Ur-Dragon, leveraging its eminence cost reduction to accelerate out large dragons and its attack trigger to generate massive card advantage and cheat permanents onto the battlefield. The primary game plan is to deploy a critical mass of Dragons, use cost reducers like Dragonspeaker Shaman and Herald's Horn to cast them ahead of curve, and overwhelm opponents with combat damage boosted by finishers such as Atarka, World Render (double strike) and Thrakkus the Butcher (double power). The Ur-Dragon's attack trigger draws cards and puts a permanent from hand into play, creating a snowball of value. Secondary win conditions include Call the Spirit Dragons' alternate win condition and incidental drain from Dragon Tempest and Scourge of Valkas. The deck has no infinite combos and relies entirely on combat inevitability.
