Deck overview

This Izzet deck is commanded by Neera, Wild Mage and centers on a spellslinger polymorph strategy. The primary game plan accelerates into a Turn 6 commander deployment, immediately pairing Neera with an inexpensive 1-mana cantrip like Opt, Ponder, or Cerulean Wisps. Neera tucks the cheap spell and reveals nonland cards from the library until hitting a massive bomb to cast for free. The payoff suite features dominant game-ending permanents and spells, including Hullbreaker Horror, Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant, Void Winnower, Ancient Silver Dragon, and Expropriate. Topdeck manipulation tools like Scroll Rack and Brainstorm help curate high-impact reveals. While the deck relies on a 6-mana commander and lacks fast mana or tutors, its explosive cheat engine creates massive board swings that overwhelm the table over two combat rotations.
