Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy mono-black combo deck built around Ozox, the Clattering King. The core game plan exploits the unique death and leaves-the-battlefield trigger chain between Ozox and its Jumblebones token. When paired with a sacrifice altar such as Ashnod's Altar or Phyrexian Altar and a cost reducer or mana filter, Ozox can be sacrificed and returned directly to hand indefinitely. Because Ozox returns to hand rather than the command zone, it completely avoids commander tax during the loop. The infinite casts and death triggers immediately convert into a table kill using drain aristocrats like Blood Artist and Bastion of Remembrance, or via lethal gravestorm with Bitter Ordeal. The deck utilizes dense black mana acceleration and efficient tutors to assemble its pieces quickly by Turn 4, while utilizing incidental edicts, Dauthi Voidwalker, and spot removal to disrupt opposing strategies.
