Deck overview

This Golgari deck uses Blech, Loafing Pest to convert repeatable lifegain triggers into large +1/+1 counter buffs across a wide swarm of Pests, Bats, Insects, and Spiders. The game plan ramps out Blech on Turn 3, floods the battlefield with low-cost token generators, and triggers lifegain through creature entries, attack triggers, and token deaths. By Turn 6, the deck presents a lethal board of buffed creatures equipped with evasion like trample and menace to eliminate opponents over two combat rotations. The deck features high redundancy across token makers and lifegain sources, supported by backup pump engines like Lisette, Dean of the Root and non-combat drain from Mirkwood Bats. While it carries flexible spot removal for artifacts, enchantments, and creatures, the strategy relies heavily on creature combat and remains exposed to creature sweepers and exile wipes.
