Deck overview

This deck is a Jund Threaten-and-Aristocrats archetype commanded by Ognis, the Dragon's Lash. The primary game plan revolves around temporarily gaining control of opponents' creatures through single-target and mass theft spells, attacking with them to exploit haste and generate tapped Treasure tokens via Ognis, and subsequently sacrificing those stolen creatures before they return to their owners. Sacrificing stolen threats fuels high-output engines like Greater Good and triggers lethal life-drain through Mayhem Devil, Mirkwood Bats, and The Meathook Massacre. By weaponizing opposing boards and converting them into direct damage and mana, the deck continuously denies enemy threats while developing toward decisive mass-theft finishers such as Mob Rule and Insurrection. While exceptionally punishing against creature-heavy battlefields, the strategy depends on targetable opposing permanents and lacks stack-based interaction, making proper sequencing and timing of sacrifice outlets essential.
