Deck overview

This deck is an artifact stax and midrange strategy led by Urza, Lord High Artificer. Its primary plan is to deploy cheap utility artifacts during the opening turns, cast Urza to convert every artifact into a blue mana source, and establish asymmetric lock pieces such as Winter Orb, Storage Matrix, and Rising Waters. Because Urza can tap these artifacts before your untap step, you ignore their symmetrical restrictions while depriving opponents of mana. The deck protects its board state using a dense suite of efficient counterspells like Counterspell, Negate, and An Offer You Can't Refuse. Once opponents are immobilized, the deck closes the game through overwhelming combat damage, animating the board with Cyberdrive Awakener, building massive Construct tokens, or swarming with flying Thopters from Sai, Master Thopterist.
