Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul mid-range stompy strategy helmed by Vrondiss, Rage of Ancients. It focuses on abusing the Enrage mechanic through self-damage, dice-rolling triggers, and targeted pinging to generate an army of 5/4 Dragon Spirit creature tokens. Supported by dense low-cost ramp spells like Farseek, Nature's Lore, and Three Visits, the deck consistently deploys Vrondiss ahead of curve on Turn 4. It leverages high-power card draw engines like Garruk's Uprising and Elemental Bond to maintain card velocity while setting up explosive damage multipliers. Win conditions center on scaling airborne combat with Atarka, World Render and Thrakkus the Butcher, direct enters-the-battlefield burn from Terror of the Peaks and Dragon Tempest, and an optional three-card infinite loop using indestructible equipment. While vulnerable to mass exile effects, the deck maintains resilience through standalone Dragon threats and efficient targeted protection spells.
