Deck overview

This Grixis deck is helmed by Sauron, the Dark Lord, combining an Underworld Breach storm win condition with a potent reanimator and Nazgûl combat subtheme. Early turns focus on accelerating mana via efficient artifacts and setting up the graveyard with tutors like Entomb and Demonic Tutor. The deck can win decisively on Turn 4 by assembling Underworld Breach, Brain Freeze, and Lotus Petal, milling the entire table and forcing immediate game losses through Windfall or Orcish Bowmasters. If the primary storm route is contested, the deck seamlessly transitions into a resilient midrange reanimation plan, cheating powerhouse creatures like Archon of Cruelty and Razaketh, the Foulblooded into play while Sauron, the Dark Lord generates massive Orc armies and refills the hand whenever the Ring tempts you. Robust low-cost interaction and commander ward provide solid protection throughout all phases of the game.
