Lightning Strikes Twice or Three or Four Times by bigsleep0

Format: Commander

Commander: Lightning, Army of One

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Boros Equipment-Voltron build whose commander, Lightning, Army of One, turns every successful hit into a snowballing, same-turn kill via his "Stagger" damage-doubling trigger. The plan is to suit Lightning up with cheap Equipment, give him double strike, and then chain as many extra combat phases as possible - Aurelia, the Warleader, Combat Celebrant, Karlach, Fury of Avernus, Port Razer, Akki Battle Squad, Genji Glove, Full Throttle, and Response // Resurgence - so each successive combat deals doubled, then quadrupled, damage to the player he already hit. Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar spreads that commander damage to the whole table, Gisela, Blade of Goldnight doubles everything again, and Sram, Senior Edificer, Puresteel Paladin, and Armored Skyhunter keep the hand and battlefield stocked. The primary win is lethal commander damage from a multi-combat chain; the fallback is heavy beatdown from big equipped bodies like Jor Kadeen, First Goldwarden and Aurelia, the Law Above.
