Deck overview

This Azorius deck focuses on artifact and Vehicle synergies led by Mendicant Core, Guidelight. In the opening turns, the deck deploys low-cost artifact ramp, utility creatures, and cheap Vehicles. It attacks each turn to advance the 'Start your engines!' mechanic, reaching Max Speed (speed 4) by Turn 5. Once at Max Speed, Mendicant Core, Guidelight copies every cast artifact spell for a single generic mana, quickly flooding the battlefield with duplicate Vehicles, Thopter tokens, and massive artifact-scaling creatures. The deck translates this wide, evasive presence into a decisive combat win using unblockable effects from Whirler Rogue and double strike from Pride of the Road to eliminate opponents across Turns 6 through 8. Because player speed remains at 4 even if the board is wiped, the deck recovers rapidly by recasting its commander and resuming duplicated plays.
