Deck overview

This Bant deck is a focused combat engine commanded by Arcades, the Strategist. It converts cheap, high-toughness defender creatures into hyper-efficient card-drawing threats that deal combat damage using toughness rather than power. The early turns establish mana acceleration through dorks and scaling mana walls like Overgrown Battlement and Axebane Guardian. Once Arcades enters on Turn 3 or 4, every wall replaces itself and provides oversized offensive presence for negligible mana. Evasion enablers like Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive, Sidar Kondo of Jamuraa, and Wonder ensure these massive bodies bypass opposing ground blockers. Asymmetric board wipes such as Wave of Reckoning, Dusk // Dawn, and Restricted Office clear away large opposing threats while leaving your defender army completely intact. High-grade phasing protection like Teferi's Protection and Clever Concealment defends your board against sweepers. The deck closes games reliably around Turn 7 through overwhelming combat damage or explosive turns powered by Akroma's Will.
