Commander: Chief of the Wilds

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Golgari Wolf tribal deck helmed by Chief of the Wilds, built around two interlocking axes: a wide swarm of Wolf tokens and a dense +1/+1 counter package. The commander doubles every Wolf and battle trigger while growing with +1/+1 counters as Wolves enter, making token generators like Master of the Wild Hunt, Hollowhenge Overlord, and Chief Warg's Company exponentially more potent. Roaming Throne provides a second copy of the doubling effect. The counter subtheme - Doubling Season, Primal Vigor, The Earth Crystal, Hardened Scales, and The Ozolith - turns every token and every counter into double value. The deck wins through combat, typically closing with Overwhelming Stampede or Unnatural Growth on a critical-mass board, with Kindred Dominance and Sarulf, Realm Eater as one-sided wipe insurance.
